Arthur Kaluma, formerly of Kansas State where he led in rebounds and was the third top scorer last season, has decided to join the Texas Longhorns for the upcoming college basketball season under head coach Rodney Terry. Kaluma, a 6-foot-7, 225-pound forward from Glendale, Arizona, spent one year at Kansas State after transferring from Creighton, where he played for two seasons.
Initially declaring for the NBA Draft, Kaluma later entered the transfer portal before the NCAA deadline. He averaged 14.4 points and 7 rebounds per game under Jerome Tang at Kansas State, ultimately opting for Texas over SMU. His addition is expected to strengthen a Texas squad that has seen departures including Dillon Mitchell through transfer and Dylan Disu due to eligibility changes.
