Beginning August 2 “The Horn” will no longer air on 104.9 FM
“The Horn” will however continue to air, 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week on AM 1260, 101.9 FM, on the Horn App and at hornFM.com
Regrettably, the coming changes will also include a reduction within our incredibly talented and dedicated staff —and bring changes to our weekday and weekend on-air line-ups

On August 2, our programming line-up will consist of live, local sports shows, national sports talk from some of the top names in the industry, as well as local and national play-by-play.
To our listeners, clients, friends, and families, we thank you for your unwavering support.

Bring Jim Rome back to ATX!
“Unwavering support” is certainly being put to the test but will see what shows you drop or keep. B&E w/ Ty, Craig and Jeff w/ Cameron, Chad and Zay, Mike and Rod w/ Patrick are all STAPLES to the workday listeners and each are highly active in the Austin and surrounding area. I wish I could count the number of young kids abilities and accomplishments have been brought to the forefront because of these shows. I truly hope they all stay and are allowed to keep Austin laughing, entertained, and informed via this platform.
Rome is fine, but please no Stephen A Smith, or Max Kellerman.
I listen to the Horn App because I live in South Texas and I love the programs. I am not happy with the situation but I get it. My wife and I are home game season tickets holders for the Horns Football seasons since 2016 and I have listened to you guys since then. I will make tge adjustments because I got to have my ATX fix lol
Rod Babers is a must keep. If you don’t have Rod Babers doing a show, I will no longer listen to the station. Same goes for Craig Way.
I live in Houston and the best radio is the Horn. I am a season ticket holder, and I learn more about my teams including Astros and Rockets. (A few digs at the Cowboys is good too!). Houston radio is all Texans, so tiring.
Following up on Sam’s comment, hoping the HORN station can keep reporting on Central Texas high school football players. I have been listening to Erin and Bucky and their various co-hosts for 4 decades, but the FLEX ATX reporting that started a few years ago with Snupe and Co. really brought the word LOCAL SPORTS to the forefront.
I have listened to nothing but these daily programs for the last 13 years. No music in my car, all Horn. I am devastated but will certainly listen on the app. I cannot stand national shows and their shock jocks. Booooo! Good luck to all the guys and hopefully the app will keep as much local as possible.
Very unfortunate. Best shows you ever have had seem to get torn apart, B&E, Chad and Kevin, now Ball Don’t Lie. It is sad but being a high school broadcasting show won’t be sustainable. Look forward to see where the true talents land. Hook ‘Em!
Sorry the beat was Trey and BK.
I am super bumbed about this. You guys that dont stay around. Make sure you let us know how to find your new platforms.
My shitty week got shittier… peace out
It’s truly sad this gifted group of individuals cannot continue to do what they do best…deliver the most entertaining mix of sports…from HS, College and Pro. I will certainly miss B&E and Light the Tower. I could not listen in the afternoon, sorry Rod and Mike.
I’m not happy about this “business “ decision.
Yet another reason why Austin is no longer the Austin I know. Thank you all, especially B & E for being there each and every morning. In many ways you came to be family. You will be missed. Truly sad.
