Ray’s #GetONNIT Fitness Challenge – Week 2

Week 2 of my #GetOnnit Challenge was rough. I was curious how the others were fairing with the work-outs but I was afraid to ask Chris (our trainer) because I didn’t want to hear that I was doing the worst. However when I finally grew a pair and asked, I found out that I was pretty much even with everyone else.

I’m pretty sure we are all doing the same hamstring work out, which is called the Romanian Deadlift, (I googled that) doing 5 sets of 5 reps with stretching in between sets. That goes by fairly quickly then we go into our circuit. I have definitely been improving in the number of reps I am getting in during the 15-minute circuit. Starting out in the week I was only able to get in about 5 rounds, then the very next trip to the gym I got in 7. I’m really excited about seeing the improvement in just one session. I can only imagine how things will be going a month from now.

The great folks at Onnit have scheduled a meeting for me to meet with their in-house Registered Dietician. I usually eat pretty healthy but I do love me some Hot Cheetos, so I can see myself being the guy that hides little zip lock bags of Hot Cheetos around places in order to get my fix in.
