The Madness of March: Second Round Recap

South Carolina 88 – Duke 81

The second round of the mens’s NCAA Tournament had more upsets and less chalk. The Duke Blue Devils were a favorite to make a deep run in the tourney, but their hopes were cut short on Sunday evening by the South Carolina Gamecocks. Duke fell to the Cocks 88-81 in a stunning upset. See Box Score HERE


Wisconsin 65 – Villanova 62

The defending National Champions were eliminated on Sunday. The Wisconsin Badgers upset the Villanova Wildcats 65 – 62. The Badgers went on an impressive 15-5 run in last minutes of the contest to survive and advance to the Sweet 16 of the men’s  NCAA Tournament. Wisconsin awaits the winner of the Virginia/Florida contest. See full story HERE


Michigan 73 – Louisville 69

Moritz Wagner led the surging 7th seed Wolverines past the 2nd seed Louisville Cardinals in an upset victory on Sunday 73 – 69. In what appears to be divine intervention, the Michigan Wolverines have strung together some impressive wins, and have caught fire at the best time of year. The Wolverines survive and advance to battle the Midwest’s 3rd seed Oregon Ducks in the Sweet 16. See full story HERE
