Lifetime Longhorn Jordan Spieth Wins Travelers Championship

Lifetime Longhorn Jordan Spieth won the Travelers Championship in walk-off fashion by hole-ing out on the first playoff hole at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, CT. Spieth birdied the first playoff hole with an incredible 61-foot bunker shot to beat fellow American Daniel Berger in the sudden death format. With the win, Jordan Spieth became just the second golfer ever to win 10 PGA Tour events before his 24th birthday (Tiger Woods, 15). Spieth led by three strokes going into the back 9 on Sunday and looked to be in jeopardy of losing the tournament despite leading after each of the first three rounds. However, Spieth was able to get it done in the clutch to win his 10th career PGA Tour event.

With the win, Spieth moves to 4th place in the FedEx Cup standings
