Clemson Defeats Alabama to Win 2nd National Title in School History

Last night, the Clemson Tigers defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide 35-31 in a thrilling College Football Playoff National Championship Game. The Tigers scored the game-winning touchdown with one second left on the clock to avenge last year’s 45-40 title game loss to the Crimson Tide. Clemson ended the season 14-1 and took home its second national championship in school history (first since 1981). Junior QB Deshaun Watson went 36-56 for 420 yards passing and 3 touchdowns. Watson also added 43 yards on the ground and a rushing TD as well. It’s the first championship for Clemson HC Dabo Swinney
