Brazil Sends Mexico Packing

Mexico’s World Cup run ended earlier today with a 2-0 loss against one of the tournament favorites, Brazil.

After starting the tournament off strong, Mexico has struggled against the recent competition. Mexico held Brazil scoreless in the first half, yet with Neymar on the pitch, it’s just a matter of time before he slots one home. Neymar puts the first part Ochoa in the 51st on a low cross from Willian, and Robert Firmino sealed the game in the 88th one an open goal when Neymar drew Ochoa out of the net.

Brazil will go on and face the winner of Belgium and Japan, while Mexico takes the long flight home.
