Social Media Associate

The Austin Radio Network is looking for a Social Media Associate. This position will work within the Marketing Department to produce content, analyze data, and manage projects and campaigns in order to boost visibility and listener and client engagement. The position will have additional promotions, marketing and communications responsibilities. You will work in a fast paced energetic environment that requires thinking on your feet and making quick decisions,


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Achieving goals to increase brand awareness and increase engagement
  • Managing all social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google + and Instagram for the cluster
  • Manage content and delivery on multiple social media channels
  • Write blog posts and articles
  • Create content such as videos, and/or outsource
  • Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions
  • Monitor and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics
  • Create client proposals and recaps in conjunction with sales
  • Some onsite appearances  for client and station events

  • Media and Communications
  • Public Relations
  • Prior Social Media position or internship
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office, web analytics
  • Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator a plus
  • Knowledge and experience in marketing, brand management, public relations, event planning
  • Must possess high attention to detail and very strong organizational skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  •  Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required.
